This match was scheduled to be played Sat 22 Aug at Henson Park however a strike by Marrickville Council workers closed the ground. The NSWRL moved the match to Sun 23 Aug at Erskinville Oval.
Phil Flack was a late replacement for Col Casey in the Newtown team.
