Coached him for most of those Test Matches and I can say this by being as humble as possible - Adnan had the Potential to be an NRL Superstar had it not been for his serious injuries, May of even found himself playing Origin. A very Tenacious, Tough Player regardless of the position he played, he would always give 100%.

Adnan ‘Eddy’ first caught my attention while I was watching him play as an 18 year old, he always had the X-Factor which was a natural gifted talent that you simply just can-not coach. He progressed through the ranks at Mounties while I was coaching and I had called him up to play NSW Cup straight after finishing a Ron Massey Cup Game. ‘Eddy’ Blew everyone away with his speed, tenacity and aggression constantly throughout the game. He was consistently making an impact and scoring two length of the field Tries against a team which was stacked with First Grade players. Adnan ‘Eddy’ then went on to score one of the best tries I have seen in a semi final Game or in a game at any level to this day it still replays when he chipped, chased re-gathered the ball and outran numerous North Sydney Bears players including Fetuli Talanoa (South’s Sydney Winger) I can definitely say that without a doubt in the world this young man would not only be playing State of Origin but also higher levels with a hefty price tag. I have watched players still playing to this day and ‘Eddy’ had the potential to become a top tier player pick for all current 17 NRL Teams. An absolute gentleman off the field; but a Tenacious, speedy player who was never caught down in open space. A versatile player who would play prop if need be and one to never back down from anyone - just ask Korbin Sims. A shame to see such horrific injuries end a Career which would of brought more fans to games and more importantly, such a young talent who was sadly left to retire at a young age
