Biography

Talented Norths junior kept the more experienced fullback Greg Barwick in reserve grade in 1993. The following year Seers’ faultless form as a last line of defence forced the club’s star signing Ivan Cleary into the centres. Named Norwich 'Rising Star of the Year' in 1994, his time with the Bears garnered two appearances for NSW. Returning from a self-imposed period of rehabilitation for a drug problem, Seers signed with the W’Tigers club in 2000 but was not originally named in first grade for the club’s season opener against Brisbane. Under coach Terry Lamb in 2001, Seers showed great maturity in a young club rocked by scandal, and versatility at fullback, centre and five-eighth. At the end of 2003 Seers moved to England and joined Wakefield Trinity.
