The Exhibition Ground was closed on the Friday before the Round 2 games were to be played, when the Government Health officials decided that the Exhibition Ground would become a makeshift Influenza hospital, thus making it a quarantined area. The League hastily organised with the council to have access to Davies Park in West End for the rest of the season.
