Match Notes

At about the 54th minute mark, Argentina’s Lucas Balza grounded the ball for what would have been his second try of the match, however, referee Juan Blumetti called the play back due to a serious injury to Brazil’s Matheus Muller. During the 12 minute long stoppage that followed, Argentina’s score on the livestream scoreboard mistakenly changed from 16 to 20. These 4 extra points remained on the scoreboard for the rest of the game, and consequently, it was incorrectly reported that Argentina had scored 26 points instead of 22.
