Tony Antunac replaced John Armstrong late in the week for Wests.
Don Lancashire was injured during this game twisting his right knee. He was assisted from the field, play was held up for several minutes before being replaced by reserve grade referee Jack Harris.
Tony Ford injured his knee and was replaced by Gary Weston at the 55 min mark, Barry Bryant limped from the field near the end of the game and was replaced by Bill Hansen.
Les Perry replaced Alan Burwell & Ernie Graham replaced Ron Costello who had a broken wrist.
