Biography
Souths prop, the cousin of former Test forward Brian Hambly, grabbed a piece of league history in 1980 when chosen for NSW in the inaugural State of Origin match. Gary Hambly, who later played with the Wagga Magpies, played for English club York in 1983-84 in order to visit Europe and finance a trip to Alaska.
